Personal Bio: Ryan is a Native to Colorado, growing up in the small mining town of Cripple Creek. Ryan spent a lot of time in the mountains at 10,000 ft. hunting, fishing and hiking in the woods as a child. He spent his high school summers in California working in Landscape Construction. With this experience, unique to most in the design industry, accompanied by his passion for landscape architecture ascended Ryan to another level. His studies in Landscape Architecture at Colorado State University resulted in his Bachelor of Science for Landscape Architecture. After graduation, he moved to California and was offered a foreman position for a Landscape Construction crew. After separating his shoulder playing baseball, he had to move on from the Construction field and get back into his degree. A couple weeks later Ryan landed a job at Smith and Smith Landscape Architecture in San Francisco, California where he spent a year designing commercial landscapes, playgrounds and green roofs. Ryan is happy to now be working with Altitude Land Consultants, where he can pursue his passion for landscape architecture and be closer to home and his family.
Ryan’s experience as a Landscape and Urban Designer spans a large spectrum in the landscape architectural framework and even some preliminary civil engineering design. He specializes in computer-generated 3D Modeling, working in AutoCAD and finishing everything up in the Adobe Suite of software. He is studying to get his license in landscape architecture in Colorado. He strives for his designs to be as natural as possible, working with the culture, site and with the land.
